Apple iPad 2- Thinner, Lighter, and Faster

Apple second-generation iPad has been officially released. Below is a list of the popular new features:

• 1GHz dual-core A5 chip. The new iPad is said to be up to twice as fast as the original, with up to nine times better graphics performance
• Front and rear cameras. rear-facing camera supports 720p video recording at 30fps, with a 5x digital zoom. The front-facing supports VGA resolution 30fps.
• HDMI output capable of 1080p (requires a $39 dongle, called an Apple Digital AV Adapter). A new feature that I like is the new video mirror that allow you to output the video from your iPad to an external display.
• New cover for the device with magnetic flap that protects the front screen and automatically wakes the device when open and puts its to sleeps when closed.
• 33 percent thinner than its predecessor, 8.8mm thick. Its also 15 percent lighter.
• Includes an accelerometer, three-axis gyroscope, and compass.

The IPS LCD screen technology (with 1024 x 768 resolution), the battery life of 10 hours, and the prices are similar to the original iPad. Starts at $499 for a 16GB WiFi-only iPad 2, going up to $829 for a WiFi + 3G with 64GB of storage.
